Do Not Rely On Those Who Are Arrogant and Lie

January 7, 2021 - LISTEN HERE

Psalm 40:4 (God’s Word Translation)

Blessed is the person who places his trust in the LORD and does not rely on arrogant people or those who follow lies.

What does it mean to Trust? Webster’s defines trust to mean:

Firm belief in the integrity, ability, or character of a person or thing; to have confidence or reliance.

Let’s reread the passage with these insertions:

Blessed is the person who puts his belief in the integrity, the ability, and the character of the Lord and does not rely on arrogant people or follow lies.

We have been praying for our country, our constitution and our president for several months now here at Happy Hour. The time is now to stand firm and put our TRUST in the Lord...and trust in the outcome He has in store for the United States.

But now is the time to stay the line, trust in the Lord and not listen to “arrogant people” and “those who TELL lies.” We’ve heard so many in the last few weeks, even in the last 48 hours, that unless we use true discernment and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it becomes increasingly possible to ferret out the facts....and to NOT lead to our own understanding.

Whatever it is you THINK you know about the current political and medical situations, keep in mind that you only have a thin glimmer of what is really going on. If you get your information from MSM, remember you’re only getting told what they WANT you know, with the spin in THEIR direction. If you get your information from social media, be very selective of the sources you follow and believe.

In the meantime, remember what the Lord said about worry in Mathew 6: 25-34:

Do not worry about your life... but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness so all these things shall be added to you.

What should we do RIGHT NOW?
  • Keep our eyes on Him.
  • Seek to serve Him better and with more trust.
  • Trust everything will be ok if we let go of the outcome.
  • Trust He will show us right from wrong.
  • We must aside our personal arrogance... and perceptions, and yes, lies and traps we have fallen into and accepted as “truth.”
  • Most importantly, we must trust God knows what He’s doing and trust He will deliver the best outcome for us all
Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord, we are passing through tumultuous times, traveling in unchartered waters. We don’t know what to do next. We’re not sure where to go – or if we should sit tight. We’re not sure if we should fight or hunker down. We’re not sure what our country is going to look like on February 1. We're not sure what to prepare for - civil war or total lockdown. Lord, the most important - the ONLY thing we - we should be preparing for is His return. We must be casting our fears and our doubts on to You. We need to be deepening our trust in You.

Lord, we praise Thee. We worship Thee. We thank Thee for being the One True God that through Your Son, Christ Jesus, we can always turn toward in hope and trust for the Truth. Protect us Lord and forever keep us close unto you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Surround Yourself With Good People

November 4, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Exodus 18:17-23

Moses FIL was concerned that Moses was doing too much and was going to wear himself out. He gave him good advice...good advice for our President.

Now listen to me; I will give you some advice, and God be with you. You be the one to represent the people before God and bring their cases to Him. Pick a few good men; Instruct them about the statutes and laws, and teach them the way to live and what they must do. But you should select from all the people able men, God-fearing, trustworthy, and hating bribes. Place them over the people as commanders. They should judge the people at all times. Then they can bring you every important case but judge every minor case themselves. In this way, you will lighten your load, and they will bear it with you. If you do this, and God so directs you, you will be able to endure, and also all these people will be able to go home satisfied.

++++++++++++++++
By the time of Happy Hour tonight, most of us have voted and we are now awaiting the anticipated outcome of this difficult election season, I pray that we have selected able, God-fearing, trustworthy men who hate bribes...in other words, those that Hate the Swamp.

I pray that God will have mercy and show grace and forgiveness to our country...and that by January, we will still be the United States of America

Today’s Prayer
Jesus has been the cornerstone of our foundation. The Lord isn’t through with our country yet. It looks dark, it looks hard. Jesus gives us hope that does not disappoint. We cling tenaciously to that hope because it’s real. It’s not a pipedream. His power is real, His strength is real and His intentions for our nation are very real. He said whatever is loosed in heaven is loosed here on earth. So Lord, we release all of your provisions from heaven into the earth. Lord, have your way with our nation as we fall on our face with prayers of repentance.

We ask you, Lord, for Your tender mercy and heal our land. Lord, we confess our sin. We’ve sinned by being apathetic. We sinned by pursuing happiness above pursuing You. But God, we are turning back to You with our whole hearts in these final days. We ask that You receive us as a sacrifice that would be pleasing to You. We ask that You will look down on our land and help us to fulfill those words: One Nation. Under God. Indivisible. With Liberty and Justice for All.  In the name of Jesus, we ask for this. Amen.

Should We Submit to All Authorities?

October 27, 2020 - LISTEN NOW

Romans 13:1-5

Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God.
So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on them-selves. For [civil] authorities are not a source of fear for [people of] good behavior, but for [those who do] evil. Do you want to be unafraid of authority? Do what is good and you will receive approval and commendation. For he is God’s servant to you for good.

But if you do wrong, [you should] be afraid; for he does not carry the [executioner’s] sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an avenger who brings punishment on the wrongdoer. But if you do what is wrong, you should be afraid, for it is not without reason that they bear the sword. Indeed, they are God's servants to administer punishment to anyone who does wrong. Therefore, it is necessary for you to be acquiescent to the authorities, not only for the sake of God's punishment but also for the sake of your own conscience.

+++++++++
Crazy laws requiring masks to walk your dog, to be in place in between bites of food, even when having sex. Crazy laws to stay six feet apart, not shake hands and leave a restaurant by 11pm. Legalized spying on your neighbors, deemed Contact Tracing, has pitted friends against each other. And mandatory vaccinations are on the way.....

Worst of all, many if not most churches across America remained closed. One has to wonder who the pastors and priests are taking their direction from...God or the Governor?

I’ve been told that many parishioners have approached their church leaders and have been rebuked, saying that “the Bible tells us to be subjected to government or government authorities,’ such as described in this verse, Romans 13:1

But if you read the entire passage, you can see that the directive must be taken in context: we are to obey rulers or government officials who put in place by God.

How many of your legislators, your governors, your local school board members or your community leaders ...or maybe even your church deacons...are appointed by God? I don't know about you, but I find it difficult to listen to men who issue tyrannical rules and order "we the people" to stay away from God.

But as a follow-up, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 gives us something to actively to do:

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way."

And further, in Psalm 22:28, we are to put God in the middle of it all:

“For kingship belongs to the Lord, and He rules over the nations.”

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord, we pray for our leaders, not just the president and first lady, but for our state and local elected officials. We pray for Constitutional Sheriffs to take charge of our counties. We pray for calm among the chaos. We pray for intelligent voters to select those who would uphold our laws and secure our communities. We pray that Thy Will Be Done, in our country and in our individual lives. In Jesus's precious name. Amen.

"Call on Me; I will Answer You"

October 13, 2020. - with special guest, Elizabeth Nader - LISTEN HERE

Psalm 86:7, 12-13

I call on You in the day of my distress, for You will answer me.... Teach me Your way, Yahweh, and I will live by Your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name. I will praise You with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor Your name forever.

Psalm 86 is so beautiful. David was crying out to God for courage at a time when his enemies were trying to kill him. After he made his petitions for help known to God, he then praised and worshiped the Lord for His power, trustworthiness, and goodness.

We all have stress in our lives. More than 50% of patients that come to see me these days at my medical clinic list “anxiety” and/or “insomnia” as their chief complaint.

I wish I could toss my “medical stuff” out the window and simply pray with these folks. Pray that they would lay their worries at the feet of the Lord. Pray they would keep their eyes fixed on Him and not on the problem. Pray the Be Attitudes with them – reminding them that worry doesn’t add a day to their life. The prayer would assure them that God is in charge and He doesn’t want you to have a divided mine – one split between worry and rest. The Lord promised He would never abandon us in times of stress.

Read all of Psalm 86. Listen to the wonderful conversation I had with my guest, Elizabeth Nadar, who loves her friends and fans back to health.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, David says it best in this Psalm 86 to you:
“Listen, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Protect my life, for I am faithful. You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You. Be gracious to me, Lord, for I call to You all day long. Bring joy to Your servant’s life, because I turn to You, Lord. For You are kind and ready to forgive, rich in faithful love to all who call on You. Lord, hear my prayer; listen to my plea for mercy. Lord, there is no one like You and there are no works like Yours. All the nations You have made will bow down before You, Lord, and will honor Your name. For You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, Yahweh, and I will live by Your truth. Give me an undivided mind to worship and honor Your name. I will praise You with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor Your name forever."

We pray our hearts can forgive those who have harmed us, whether it be mentally, physically, or emotionally. We pray for the protection of our country. We pray for the preservation of our constitution and our Bill of Rights. We pray for the health of our president. We pray that the election of our state and local leaders will be filled by persons of honor, integrity, and with Your heart to do things that are good, right and just. We thank You for Your love. We beseech Your will for our lives. We ask all these things, in Jesus’ holy name. Amen

Give Jesus the Chance to Bless You: Ask - Seek - Knock

August 28, 2020 - Keep asking! - LISTEN HERE

Matthew 7:7-8

(I especially like the Amplified version of this verse:)
"Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened."

How do you feel about asking God….for everything?
  • Are you apologetic or fearful when you ask?
  • Do you only ask for small things?
  • Do you ask for very few things?
How are we supposed to ask?

Hebrews 4:16 says to "come boldly to the throne.”

When you were a kid and you wanted something from your dad, did you start by saying how unworthy you were to even ask? Did you creep up to his chair, grovel on the floor, beg for a toy....and then hope that he heard you?

Unless you had a very abusive father, it’s highly doubtful this was your approach.

The Lord also says - "Except ye become as little children...”
— how many times a day does your 5-year-old ask you for something?

We have the living God, ask Him; He is open. He is accessible, He is alive. You can have a personal relationship with Him.  Be yourself before God. Present your problems and your desires to Him every day. Dream big. The God who made the entire Universe with his outstretched arm can surely meet your needs according to His riches in glory.

Ask, Seek, Knock…. and give Jesus the chance to bless, give, do.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You that we can ask…and that You hear our prayers. You know what is heavy on our hearts. You know what makes us happy, what makes us worry, what makes us sad. You have even numbered the hairs on your head. You have told us that we ‘have not because we ask not’.

Today, we come to you with a humble heart and yet, with the exuberance of a 5-yo child. We ask for our heart’s desires. We ask for financial security…for health and healing….for a loving relationship…for restoration of our country to the place where we can say, “in God We Trust.” We place our desires at your feet and ask for all these things….this or something better. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Encourage One Another – You Are Not Alone

 August 13, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

1 Thessalonians 5:11, 14-23

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

And we exhort you: Warn those who are irresponsible, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

Rejoice always! Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Don’t stifle the Spirit. Don’t despise prophecies but examine everything carefully; hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.

Now may the God of peace sanctify you completely. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We all get discouraged and down in the dumps occasionally – and some times, it’s more than occasionally. We have life stressors: job responsibilities – or looking for work; elderly parents to care for; decisions about school vs homeschooling; struggles with all types of relationships; trying to make sense of it all as a business owner; caring for sick animals; trying to find the time to be a committed activist.......and the list could go and on.

This verse – which admonishes us to encourage one another and build each other up and gives a To Do list for how to achieve this task – is what @HappyHourWithDrT is all about. You can find the discussion LIVE each day, Monday through Friday on Instagram and then later on Disseminate.TV/@HappyHour and here, at www.HappyHourwithDrT.Blogspot.com (please share!)

I created Happy Hour for just this reason – to encourage one another.

When Paul wrote this letter to the Thessalonians, he was sending a strong word of encouragement. He included a list of things to do that will lift our mood and strengthen our spirit....and he closes with a blessing.

No matter what storm you’re facing right now, you have friends here at Happy Hour. Together, we can look to God in the midst of the storms....and we can choose to do one – or all – of these activities. The result will be to encouraging to others - which will pick up our mood! - because we prayed and helped someone else get closer to God. In the end, our spirit, soul, and body will feel better and those discouraging feelings will fade away.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord, we often get discouraged because our prayers are not being fulfilled or events are not materializing in OUR time frame.

Lord, patience is NOT an attribute humans are born with. Patience is something we learn within the confines of being human. Thank you that this group of like-minded humans has found each other here at HappyHour. Together, and with Your presence, we can inspire each other to improve and encourage each other when we are sad.

We are grateful to have You to lean on, Lord. We trust Your timing is perfect, no matter how difficult it may be to accept the Human timeline. Thank You for putting Your hand on the steering wheel of each live that is here. Please hear our prayers Lord and deliver our requests, this or something better. And in all things, Thy will be done.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Free Your Mind - Be Delivered from Fear

 August 10, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Psalm 34:4

I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

If case you missed today's Instagram Live with my dear friend Kate Shemarani, you can watch it here. We were on FIRE, talking about letting go of your fears, letting go of what COVID is doing to humanity, taking off your mask, and hugging someone who is missing human touch.

As Kate said, “I will never die on my knees, subjugated to the Global Masters. I will only be on my knees in front of the Lord.”

The propaganda machine has sunk its Teeth of Fear into the brains of millions across America and around the globe. It seems that so many are fearful of this NOTHING-BURGER virus, where the survival rate from this infection is 99.8%. Do FACTUAL statistics mean nothing to you? Why are the studies showing persons without symptoms are HEALTHY ignored?

  • In the last 100+ years, when have healthy people been a menace to fellow healthy people?
  • In the last 200+ years, when have healthy people been muzzled and put into quarantine (aka house arrest)?

And don’t buy into “we don’t know much about this virus....”

Scientists have been studying coronaviruses and attempting to manufacture a “safe” coronavirus vaccine for more than 20 years. This is about an AGENDA, not about your health or safety. For the best 28 minute summary of why FEAR is being placed into the minds of many, go here

How do you overcome fear?

The key is to trust in God. Even in the darkest times, we must trust God to make things right. This trust comes from knowing God, knowing that He protects us and keeps us healthy, knowing that He delivers on His promise to keep His people safe from harm.

What steps can you take, RIGHT NOW, to eliminate your fears?

  • Use the *sound mind* God gave you Get educated about the virus, about masks, about social distancing from those who have no interest in propagating the Globalist Agenda pushed by The World Economic Forum
  • Turn off your TV and Mainstream Radio: They are spewing COVID lies. Remember history; these media are being used as a mind-control device.
  • Use your *sound mind* to see through the propaganda.
  • Refuse to buy into the lie that you’re doing something for the Greater Good by wearing a mask to keep someone else "safe" – actually, you’re perpetuating the tyranny.
  • Release the idea that “asymptomatic carriers” are spreading infection everywhere. It's simply not true.
  • If you want to wear a mask around some who is sick with a fever and a cough, then by all means do so if you think it will keep you from becoming ill.
  • But, for the sake of humanity, for the sake of your own soul, release the fear and learn what is behind the Myth of the Mask.

*It comes down to this*

  • God has not given us a spirit of fear – why are you living in fear?
  • God has given us HIS power and a sound mind – are you using it?
  • God answers those who seek Him – and He delivers them from ALL their fears – are you seeking Him?

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Lord, we pray for each person listening and reading these verses from Your Word. We collectively REVOKE the spirit of fear that those in power would use to capture our souls. We pray that You will RELEASE the spirit of fear from their mind, their heart, and their body.

We pray each person here will collectively stand In and On Your Word. We accept the power You give us to refuse to become yoked into permanent servitude to earthly “masters” that would have us stray from You.

We understand, Lord, we are fighting Powers and Principalities of Darkness. We have put on Your full armor. Lord, we need Your help to release the minds of those who have been inadvertently captured through man-induced fear. Bless them and snatch them away from the Enemy. In Jesus's name we pray. Amen

The Lord Gives You Peace in ALL Things

 August 7, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

2 Thessalonians 3:16

May the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

With so much going on in the world, it’s easy to let your head run in circles and allow your heart feel empty because you’re waiting for the “head things” to settle down. But the Lord gives us peace ... in every way...if we trust and believe.

I don’t always find it easy to trust – whether the trust in another human being ...or full trust in God. It’s a practice I work on every day.

Being a ‘human doing,’ it’s my nature to put my hands back on my life’s steer wheel at every bump in the road. But trust implies surrender...letting God be totally in control. Surrendering the small steps is an upward spiral.

Surrender, trust, surrender, trust...until reaching a place of really trusting that God is in Full Control of each day, minute, second of our lives. He knows the number of hairs on his head; surely he knows the best plan for our lives.

Today’s Prayer:

Lord, each day gives me a new opportunity to grow closer to You. Trusting you in small things allows me to LEARN ....and that’s what we’re here to do on Earth School. Words are inadequate to express the gratitude we feel when we trust You with one of our fears, and You deliver....allowing us to grow ever closer to You. Thank you, Abba Father, for teaching us to grow. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Do Not Fret or Be Anxious; Rest In the Lord

July 31, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

John 14:27

“...My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not fret or have anxiety about anything, but in every situation let your petitions [specific requests] be made known to God through prayers and requests, with thanksgiving. And then God’s peace, which goes far beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

With all the turmoil going on across America and around the world, it certainly is easy to be troubled and afraid, to fret and have anxiety. We need to rest in God, knowing He’ll take care of it in *His* time…another thing that is often difficult for us to do: be patient.

We can overcome worry with acceptance by saying, “It is what it is.” This is not easy to do, as we watch the devastating destruction of our country. We can remind each of us that God is in control…

Today's Prayer

Dear Lord, thank you that even now, in the midst of chaos, turmoil, insecurity, and violence, we can find solace in You. Lord, we petition You to restore our country, our cities, and our neighborhoods to safety and with full prosperity. Heal the wounds that divide us. May Your Divine Hand be seen by all as You create miracles in our midst. Thy will be done. In Jesus Name, Amen.
