Persecution Cannot Separate Us from God

August 18, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Romans 8: 35, 38-39

Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

For I am persuaded that not death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

According to Open Doors, an International NGO advocating for persecuted Christians, there are approximately 2.48 billion Christians in the world today. Out of these, 1 in every 12 is considered to be suffering from “extreme” levels of persecution.

In January 2020, Open Doors released its annual World Watch List of the 50 countries where Christians face the most severe types of persecution. At the very top of the list, the three countries which show extreme levels of persecution, we see North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia. Further down the list is China.

The situation in China continues to worsen as more and more churches are experiencing pressure at the hands of the Chinese state. An estimated 5,500 churches have been destroyed, closed down, or confiscated. In May, an official in the eastern province of Shandong raided the home of a local Christian and hung pictures of Mao Zedong and Xi Jinping on the wall in place of Christian images, saying, "These are the greatest gods. If you want to worship somebody, these are the ones to worship.  Cash rewards are being offered to those who inform officials and law enforcement about the location of underground churches and other ‘unofficial’ places of worship.

In America and around the world, we are soon to become the Cashless Society which has been anticipated for several decades. COVID19 will be the justification, blaming our “dirty money” to get rid of cash. So many have bought the hype, the propaganda about the masks, social distancing, and contact tracing that the notion of being microchipped will be the “next logical step” for transacting money. The chip that will go into our hands - or at our hairline - so we can pay without touching.

"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." - Revelation 13:16-17

The Bible mentions in many places that Christians will be persecuted, tortured, and even killed for their faith in Jesus Christ.

"Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.~ Revelation 20:8

It is highly probable that the COVID19 vaccine will be part of the mark of the beast God has long warned us about. Social conditioning, the steps getting us mentally and physically prepared, is “Masking” and "Distancing." This is the first "Mark.” Think about it: we can barely shop or participate in life without wearing the illness-inducing mask.

Christians, more persecution, more pressure, more bullying is coming. But stand strong. Know that God will never leave us, especially in times of our darkest need and our most frightening circumstances. No matter what comes upon us, He will be with us every step of the way.

It's important to decide now:
Will you choose freedom and God...or choose slavery, the mask and the vaccine?

Today’s Prayer:
Lord, in the midst all that is swirling around us, it is magnificent to be reassured, again and again, that You will always be with us, You will never abandon us and no matter what happens to our physical body, we can never be separated from You.

When the toughest assaults start to appear, keep Your Word - especially Roman 8: 35-39 - resonating through our minds and our hearts. Without You, we are nothing. With You, we are the Overcomers of the world and by Your grace, we will live a life of righteousness and courage. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

It's Darkest Just Before Daylight

July 9, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Ephesians 5:8

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

The “walk” is how we live our life. - our lifestyle, our language, our food choices, how we live our faith. To we “walk the talk” means, do we say what we mean, and mean what we say? Do we talk about eating organic, but snack on junk food? Do we say we have faith in the Lord but do we live like we don’t even know who He is?

When we 'walk in the light’ it means we are living in a relationship with Jesus. We are following His precepts, exercising His power, and growing in His grace.

Light and darkness cannot co-exist….and light wins, every time!

In these challenging times, we often hear the phrase "It is always darkest before the dawn.” Did you know this quote is not in the Bible, even though it has been used in many movies, in many books, and in many sermons?

While there is some disagreement as to its origin, a consensus of historians agree that it was authored by English theologian and historian Thomas Fuller (1608 – 1661).

The actual quote attributed to Thomas Fuller is: “It is always darkest just before the day dawneth,” which usually means, “Things are the toughest right before a breakthrough.”

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, thanks to Your mercy, love, and forgiveness, we are now and forever in Your Light. Thank You for standing by us in our darkest hours and guiding our paths. We only need to see far enough ahead to know the path; you see the entire length of the road.

Together, we pray for wisdom to follow the paths You have laid out before us. We pray for peace across our country and between the countries of the world. We pray for protection for all in our family and those in our sphere of influence. We pray for healing of our body and for those we know who are ill. We ask for prosperity according to Your riches in glory. We trust, Lord, that through the dark days ahead, we will stay close to you….and LIVE as You would have us live: as *Children of the Light*. We ask these things in Your name….We ask for “this or something better” - in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Silence Doesn't Mean Inactivity

July 8, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

1 Peter 5:7

"Cast all your worries and anxieties on Him, for He is always watching and He cares about you."

I don’t know about you, but when I’m very overtired - like I am right now - molehills become mountains and stubbing your toe results in a complete meltdown. God never promised life would be easy. What we were promised is that, in the end, He will always make everything turn out to be the best HE has in mind for your life.

We know that God is always with us. He promises He will never leave us…ever. But sometimes He feels closer to us - or we feel His presence - more than others. Sometimes it seems like as much as we cry out, we don’t hear or feel Him at all.

It’s at times like these, we need to be even more vigilant about casting our worries, our anxieties, life's complications onto Him. What can we do to feel His presence? Here are a few suggestions:

  • Questioning doesn't mean you've lost your faith. It’s ok to wonder if “anyone is listening”… God has big shoulders. You can even yell at Him; He can take it. Cry, scream, scribble in your journal. He will be there to comfort you, if you can feel it right now, or not.
  • Count your blessings Look around. What 5 things can you be grateful for RIGHT NOW?
  • Let God Carry you. It’s hard here in earth school. Trust that when you let Him take over the steering wheel, He will not fail and your will not fall, not matter what your feelings may be telling me. Remember that no matter what, He’s always watching…and He cares about you.

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Lord, sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most. The song we hear on the radio. The butterfly that lands gently on the flower petal. The silence of the full moon. In our head and in our heart, we know You and we feel You. We thank you for the lessons of trust and faith, no matter how difficult they are. We are burnished by fire and then polished by your Grace. Help us to truly embrace the meaning of “Thy Will Be Done.” In Jesus Name. Amen.

Expose the Works of Darkness

June 15, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Ephesians 5:11-13 "Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but *instead expose them.* For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret. Everything exposed by the light is made clear."

This weekend was a big campaign on Twitter and Facebook called #ExposeBillGates. So much of the Darkness is coming to light: Fauci, Gates, General Flynn, and the Deep State are being smoked out.

All of this unrest over BLM and the marching in the street is exposing the COVID19 as a scam - we don’t need masks; social distancing is nonsense; contact tracing is being exposed as spying; no one wants the phone app.

The Bible tells us directly:

DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE FRUITLESS WORKS OF DARKNESS…expose them! We must resist what is going on right now. We cannot accept this at the “new normal.” This is a temporary abnormality in life. God tells us to expose their evil doing to the Light.

We need some Eagles in our life. We cannot hang around with chickens and expect to change our current circumstances.  We can't spend time with people who complain, who accept the current situation with little or no resistance - and expect to reclaim our Country. We need to be with people who are soaring, people who think bigger than we do, people who will humble themselves, and pray.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to disconnect from people who are hindering our growth, limiting our potential, and causing us to compromise. Guide us to connections who are FAVORED by You. Help us find people who see the current circumstances the way we do. Give us Your courage, Lord, to fight for our country and to expose the evil that is raining down on us. With Your power, we will stand strong against the Mark of the Beast. Keep is in Your Wings. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
