Morning Prayers - with Jill Noble

June 30, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Psalm 5:3, 7
"LORD, in the morning you will hear my voice; In the morning I will pray to You, and I will watch for Your answer……Because of the abundance of your gracious love, I come into Your house. In awe of you, I will worship in your holy Temple."

I love my house in the summer. I try to get up 30 minutes earlier to can sit out on my front patio (my "outdoor office”). I have a cup of fresh coffee and then watch and listen as the neighborhood critters wake up - birds, bugs, squirrels. Sometimes a dog barking down the street and a deer trotting across the yard.

The house faces East…and the morning sun is so peaceful and beautiful. Feeling the warmth of the sun, it is a wonderful time to pray. I start by giving thanks for my many blessings. Then I pray for all the special people in my life. Then I make my requests and Special Petitions known. There are days I wish I could just sit there in that peace, in His presence, for the entire day. Maybe that’s coming soon…..

As I get ready to engage the day, I anticipate “watching for His answer.” This IS God’s Holy Temple, the beauties of nature He created for us - and how magnificent is it that He created our five senses to hear, see, smell, touch and taste his Bounty and His majesty. None of these live inside a building.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for Your creation….planet earth is the most incredible arboretum in the Universe. The diversity of animals, plants, beings of the air, and beings beneath the sea is a wonder to behold. We thank You for your blessings. We are grateful that the King of all the Earth hears us and wants to fulfill the desires of our heart. Remind us to come to You with a quiet mind so Your love and mercy will meet us in that place of peace. Thank you for your Love without end. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

PS: Tonight, I had a special guest for the Happy Hour, Jill Nobel. Enjoy!

Are Your Circumstances Testing You?

June 29, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Job 1:21

“Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

I re-read the entire Book of Job today…not an easy undertaking! Recall that Job was such a good man that even God bragged about him to Satan. (Job 1:3 - "this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.")

God said, “Go ahead and test him - you can do anything except kill him.” And Satan had a heyday. Job lost everything: his property, his massive herds, his health (boils all over his body); even his 7 children were crushed when a tornado destroyed the house they were staying in.

Job questioned why this was happening to him. He begged God to “reveal his sins so he could repent” - and he even wished he could die. Three of his closest friends scolded him and even his wife said, “Why do you remain firm in your integrity? Curse God and die!”

But despite it all, Job never lost his faith. He continued to praise God and be grateful for what he previously had.

And you know the end of the story: God doubled his massive earthly possessions and even replaced his 7 children with 7 more. He went on to live a *long and fulfilled life.*

When I think of the events over the last three months, all that has happened has not been insignificant. In fact, many of us have been left homeless…jobless…and even friendless. Our society is upside down.

Any one of the things that have happened to us, to our world, recently would have been challenging if they had occurred in isolation. We’ve had them piled on all at once.

We've all lost so many things near and dear to us....make a list. As the verse says, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.... Remember this is Earth School. I have long said, "You will never see a hearse with a U-Haul trailer" - ie you can't take any of these earthly possessions with you.

Have you stayed strong in your faith and true to your word? He will restore us with twice as much if we remain close to Him.

Today’s Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for guiding hand on each of our lives. Our trust in You is strong and complete. While we may not know the reasons why things are happening, You do. Dear Lord, I ask and declare in Your name: Pour Your most profound blessings into each of your follower’s lives.

May the blessings shower down from heavenly places, according to Your riches in glory. For whatever each person asks for, You know their heart. You know the Alpha and the Omega of our individual lives. Lord, grant us our requests and our petitions with what we have asked for….or grant us something even better. Thy will be done. In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Fill Us with Laughter and Shouts of Joy

June 26, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Psalms 126:2-3
"Our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations: The Lord has done great things. Let us be glad.”

This verse is a great way to end the week - *with laughter and shouts of joy*. Every place we look, there’s so much negativity. We let annoyances sour our mood, upset our world. It’s easy to overlook - and even forget - all the blessings we have.

Let’s never forget to laugh.

Laughter isn't just a quick pick-me-up. It's also good for the long term. It improves your immune system, lowers your stress, improves your mood, and even relieves your pain. Laughter can make it easier to cope with difficult situations. It also helps you connect with other people. If you can share humor with someone, you know you have a connection.

Let’s have some fun with what we see. Even though we think what we’re doing is important, in relationship to Eternity, what we do from day-to-day is much less important than we think. You know that God has a great sense of humor: He created humans!

Let’s make a list of the good things around us:
·       Our country has ample food and clean water.
·       Most of us are working and have a place to live.
·      We have cell phones, computers, cars.
·      We have music.
·      We don’t have bombs dropping on our heads; we don’t have to dodge landmines in our streets.
·     And even with this nonsensical lockdown and the wearing of irrelevant masks, most of us can still drive across town, go for walks in the park, and worship without hiding in basements and without fear of being imprisoned.

If God is laughing at the wicked, for He knows their day is coming  (Psalms 37:13), we shouldn’t let “them” get under our skin.

So, what about you?

Are you keeping up with your gratitude journal we talked about last week? Did you start the Family Gratitude Discussions? This is the day that the Lord has made…let us rejoice and be glad!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord, we take for granted the gifts that you give us. We need to remember Your voice in the Meadowlark, see You love in the sunrise, feel Your touch in the wind. Thank you that we can remind each other to be happy – filled with laughter and song.

First and foremost, we need to be Grateful for Your presence in our lives. Thank you for keeping us strong when we feel weak. Thank You for giving us Your smile when we feel we have lost our hope. We’re shouting out to You today, Lord, with laugher, with joy and with a dance in our step. Thank you for all You do for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My God is My Strength - The One Who Saved Me

2 Samuel 22:2-3
"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer. He is my God, my strong stone. In Him, I seek refuge. He is my shield, the horn of my salvation, my high tower, my way of escape, and the one who saved me from violence. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies."

Sometimes, the Word of God stands on its own and needs little discussion; I find this to be one of those verses.

The language and words used in the Bible are of great interest to me. For example, what does the "horn of my salvation” mean? Horns are the well-known emblems of strength and power…..so this appears to be saying that God is "the strength and the power behind our salvation.

What does “God is my high tower” mean? There appear to be many interpretations for this term by various writers and scholars. I like the perspective that a “high tower” is a citadel, a fortress in a commanding position in or near a city gate. If we go to God’s citadel, high in the heavens, we have a much bigger view of the world, of life, and of our situations.

It’s one of the reasons I’ve always liked to fly: The view of the world - and especially the view of my problems - is very different from 30,000 ft than from ground level.

If we can learn to see things from God’s vantage point, no matter how challenging our circumstances are in OUR eyes, they were minuscule in the eyes of God - He can handle it….

I listened to a few short interviews today by Dave Hodges and Steve Quail, both strong Christians with strong messages. I agree with their perspectives that all logic seems to have disappeared from our Country right now….right is wrong, up is down, left is, well, the left is so far LEFT it’s impossible to see the end…Hodges and Quail both see these difficult times as just the beginning of even more difficult times to come for our country and around the world. The WingsOfProphesy blog had a bold Word about America's future, written on April 19, 2017.

But if we remember that no matter what our circumstances, if we lean in and let God be our strength - stand BOLDLY on His promise to save us from violence, save us from our enemies, deliver us from evil - we will be loved and protected.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for giving us this time together where we can use a global social media platform to share your Word. Lord, we’re creating our own Tribe right here, on Instagram. We trust in Your word, that when two or more are gathered together, You are here. Thank you for your love, your power and our protection that encompasses us like an impenetrable fortress. Thank You for always being with us. We love you, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Who Am I that God Loves Me?

June 24, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

1 Peter 5:7
“Cast all your worries and anxieties on Him, for He is always watching and He cares about you.”

It’s interesting how this verse came up today….recall yesterday's verse was Isaiah 41:10 - “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed….”

It seems God is giving us a double dose of love and telling us “I’ve Got This….all of it.”

My favorite Christian band has become Casting Crowns. I listen to their music all day long in the background when I'm working here at the computer. My FAVORITE song of theirs is “Who Am I”….here are some of the lyrics:

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name, Would care to feel my hurt?
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star,
Would choose to light the way for my ever wandering heart?

Not because of who I am, But because of what You've done.
Not because of what I've done, But because of who You are.

I am a flower quickly fading: Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean, A vapor in the wind.

Still, You hear me when I'm calling...
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling.

And You've told me who I am. I am Yours.

Words cannot describe the feeling of knowing we are loved by the God of the Universe.
We will never hit bottom…and if the bottom feels close, He gives us whatever we need to get up and keep going.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord, we are so grateful for Your love, Your mercy. Thank you for watching over us and protecting us, even when we do really silly, even stupid, Human things. We are grateful we can say with confidence, “I AM Yours.”

We pray for our cities, our country, our President. We pray for each person in our family, in our extended family and our community Tribe will come to know you so they, too, can say, I AM YOURS. Thank you, Lord. We ask for this - or something better. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fear Not, for I AM With You

June 23, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I love this verse. I have it at the end of all of our Vaxxter.com emails.

I know that God is with me, I know He helps me and I know He holds me in His right hand for protection. With all the things going on the world and personally, the part that jumped out at me today was be not dismayed.

Sometimes, even with Faith and Trust, “being human” gets in our head…and the whorl of thoughts, doubts and fears “feel like a tornado,” causing us to feel dismayed.

The dictionary defines dismayed as:

Experiencing alarm or concern; being upset, worried or agitated because of some unwelcome situation or occurrence.

Facing unwelcome situations is why humans become dismayed. But God tells us to NOT be dismayed and do not fear. Turn it over to Him. He can take it and carry it. He will give us the strength we need to succeed and persevere. He then comforts and protects us with His right hand.

Humans seem to have such a short memory. We need to be reminded of this, nearly every day. Humanness is hard work and the lessons here within Earth School are not easy. Thankfully, we can support each other and frequently remind each other to “Be Still and Know that I AM God.”

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, You tell is in so many ways, in so many places throughout Your word to Fear Not - to Be Not Dismayed - to Trust - to have Faith - to Believe - to BE STILL. You made us – and You knew in advance, after the First Humans fell in the Garden, the being a human was going to be difficult.

In response, You gave us Your Word with its constant reminders that we’re never alone and You are with us every step of the way.  Thank You, Lord, that we now have each other – fellow humans -- to lean on, so we can remind each other to lean on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You Are My Refuge and Fortress

June 22, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Psalms 91:1-2, 9-11
"The one who lives in the shelter of the Most High, who rests in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, "You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God in whom I trust!”    ...Because you chose the Most High as your dwelling place, no evil will fall upon you, and no affliction will approach your tent, for He will command His angels to protect you in all your ways."

God has made it so clear in His Word: When we lean on Him, when we trust Him completely to be our fortress and our refuge, He will protect us from evil AND illness. We don’t need to buy into the “mask and distance” fear-mongering, mind-control propaganda. We are His children; we choose to be with Him always and in all ways.

When we declare that He is our refuge and fortress, He COMMANDS His angels to protect us. There is nothing ambiguous about it. His Angels are told to protect us in EVERYTHING we do. Even the Angels do not have an option to dilly-dally - they are commanded to protect His flock.

Trust, by definition, is deeply believing that the person who is trusted will do what is expected.
  • Do we *trust* God to deliver? What are you asking Him for today? This week?
  • Do you *expect* that He hears you and wants to make your life better? Happier?
  • Do you believe that at this very moment, He is sending you the desires of your heart -  for success; for health; for safety?
  • Do you trust that He wants to fill your heart with a more loving relationship with your significant other, your children and your friends?

How much trust can you muster? God’s giving has no ends; how willing are we to trust completely?

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, You make it so clear in Your word that when we trust, we can fully expect You will deliver.  We need to ask; there are endless places in Your Word that say ASK AND IT IS GIVEN. In James 4:2, we are told that “We have not, because we ask not” - and even when we ASK, we doubt that we will receive.

Lord, embrace us so that we FEEL Your love. Give us the confidence to know that You are here with us, You will never leave us, and You are providing the very best for us - and it will arrive in Your time. Today, we ASK for things to come into our life that are just, that are good, that are pure. We ask for health, for protection. We pray for our cities and the restoration of our country. We thank You for being our fortress in these unsettling times. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Thank you, Lord, for the blessings You have showered into our lives. You have given us family and friends who bless us with kind words and encouragement. Thank you, Lord, for keeping us safe from physical harm and free from illness.

Thank You for helping us make the best possible choices within the menu of difficult decisions. Thank You for speaking to us in a voice that we can hear. Keep us ever mindful of the needs of others. Help us to always remember to pay forward the acts of kindness given to us from others. Thank You for being ever-present in our lives. Thy will be done – in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

"Come to Me and I Will Give You Rest"

June 18, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Matthew 11:28-29 - “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take up My yoke and learn from me, and you will find rest for your soul.

I don’t know about all of you, but the last six months have been a burden. I admit that I feel weary of the battle right now. It’s been a long stretch without a single day off and the mountain in front of us is a formidable force. I’m sure many of you have been stretched tinsel-thin and are carrying burdens far beyond anything you have imagined before.

I heard about a new study while listening to the radio this morning. Researchers have found that the public's happiness is at a 50-year low, with only 14% being “very happy” – Apparently, people are assessing their happiness in relationship to how they felt before and now, after, the shutdown.

Most prominently, Americans report feeling anxious, depressed, or irritable compared to two years ago …and most importantly, this 'social distancing’ has left many feeling isolated and alone.

How many of you resonate with feeling unhappy, isolated, and alone due to wearing these WORTH-LESS cult-like face masks and maintaining silly SOCIAL DISTANCING rules?

I know I miss the human touch of shaking hands. I miss spontaneous hugs. I miss speaking with others freely in grocery stores…and the loss of seeing faces that are now hidden behind a mask is disturbing.

I’ve been saying for months now: this is NOT about a “virus” – it is economic warfare, being waged not only against President Trump but against those who supported him and voted him into Office (THINK: conservative censorship, church closings, only allowing 10 people to gather, etc…)

The times we are facing brings to mind another verse, Isaiah 40:29 “He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless.” When we are weary, we need to seek Him more than ever. We also need to find like-minded HUMANS who don’t buy into “the story” they are continuing to feed us.

We need comfort from human touch.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Lord, we know You are always present, but sometimes, You seem far away. It’s not You who has moved, it’s us. We have withdrawn from You…not the other way around. We need to lean into You the way we would lean into a friend or a spouse or significant other who is here to comfort us. We need to feel Divine Love from You – which we can find through Your Word and through the fellowship of others. Thank You for being as constant as the rays from the sun. We know You are only a whisper away. May Thy will be done in our daily lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Christians Need Fellowship

June 17, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Hebrews 10: 24-25 - "And let us continue to consider how to motivate one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, (as is the habit of some), but encouraging one another even more as you see the day of the Lord coming nearer."

Christians have an obligation to fellowship with other Christians. Gathering together is necessary to encourage, motivate, and inspire each other to stand strong in God’s Love. We need to do good things for one another. As I’ve said before, it’s Universal irony that we can use Instagram – owned by Facebook – to have fellowship with Christians from all over the world.

How else can we motivate each other to have courage? To resist the rulers, the powers of this dark world, that would control us, suppress us, mandatorily medicate us? What else can we do to encourage each other to TRUST? What can we do to motivate each other to use FAITH as both a noun (something tangible to hold to) and as a verb (directing God’s spirit to work for us)?

We never see ourselves the way that others see us. We look in the mirror and see our flaws, remember our mistakes, pick at our imperfections. When God looks at us, He loves us divinely and loves us tenderly because we are His kids.

I hope this daily Happy Hour gathering will become part of your daily routine. I hope it will grow – and you will bring others to the Table. God gave me the courage to step out and step up to do this in a very public platform. God drew you to this place because we are a collective power for His work in these challenging times…which could very well be heading toward the End Times.

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for using every tool available to get your Word to others. We are grateful to have this little gathering place on the Internet. We’re glad to spend this time together each day, sharing your Word and praying together. Bless everyone who is here – and those who will hear this later. Open each heart and mind to bring You closer to each one of us. Restore our natural state of well being.

We pray for our cities, our country, our president. We pray for protection over the “good cops.” We pray that the “good doctors” – those who see the scam of what’s going on with this virus – will have the courage to stand up and speak out. We pray that this “temporary abnormal” in our society will dissolve soon into the history books as the biggest mistake taken by Humans against Humanity. Lord, we ask for these things – this or something better. Thy will be done. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

June 16, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

What does TRUST really mean?  The dictionary definition of Trust is:

  • To have or place confidence in;
  • To depend on;
  • To expect with assurance.

Notice that this is not a request; it is a command. It’s not optional.

Our trust in God is not to be 50%, 75%, and even 95%. Our trust must be given 100%. We are to have complete confidence in God’s strength and His ability to direct our life path. Everything He does is for our benefit, even at times when things seem bleak and we don’t understand. It is easy to trust God when things are going well.

But what happens to your TRUST in God when things fall apart? When we don’t understand things or things are hard, do we still trust God?

Most of us probably remember the poem by Margaret Fishback Powers called “FOOTPRINTS” - but for those who don’t know it, you can find in full it here.

“Lord you told me You would always walk and talks. But during the most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don’t understand. When I needed You the most, You were not there.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and I will never leave you. I would never leave you during trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, I was there; I was carrying you.”

What trials are you going through right now? Have you reached out to God… do you feel He’s not listening? Do you feel He’s ignoring you…or that He has abandoned you?

This is where Trust comes in…trusting with all your heart. Don’t try to figure it out. Turn it over. Let Him take the steering wheel of your life. Take the passenger’s seat. Maybe you should take a nap…let God drive and when you wake up, you'll be

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord, we live in troubling times. Many of us have lost our jobs, our businesses, our cities. Many of us have lost our health, have lost our loved ones, and are even at the end of our HOPE.  So Lord - today, right now - I remind myself and ACKNOWLEDGE that You are in control. Thank You for carrying me. I don’t understand what lies ahead for I can only see what’s in front of me.

Lord, today I renew my TRUST in You. I exercise my FAITH, both as a noun and as a verb. I place my heart in Your hands and renew my trust that You know what is exactly right for me.  Lord, I depend on You. I expect, with assurance, that You are in control. I have confidence that YOU know that what lies ahead FOR ME and You will direct my life according to Your Riches in Glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Expose the Works of Darkness

June 15, 2020 - LISTEN HERE

Ephesians 5:11-13 "Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but *instead expose them.* For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret. Everything exposed by the light is made clear."

This weekend was a big campaign on Twitter and Facebook called #ExposeBillGates. So much of the Darkness is coming to light: Fauci, Gates, General Flynn, and the Deep State are being smoked out.

All of this unrest over BLM and the marching in the street is exposing the COVID19 as a scam - we don’t need masks; social distancing is nonsense; contact tracing is being exposed as spying; no one wants the phone app.

The Bible tells us directly:

DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE FRUITLESS WORKS OF DARKNESS…expose them! We must resist what is going on right now. We cannot accept this at the “new normal.” This is a temporary abnormality in life. God tells us to expose their evil doing to the Light.

We need some Eagles in our life. We cannot hang around with chickens and expect to change our current circumstances.  We can't spend time with people who complain, who accept the current situation with little or no resistance - and expect to reclaim our Country. We need to be with people who are soaring, people who think bigger than we do, people who will humble themselves, and pray.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us to disconnect from people who are hindering our growth, limiting our potential, and causing us to compromise. Guide us to connections who are FAVORED by You. Help us find people who see the current circumstances the way we do. Give us Your courage, Lord, to fight for our country and to expose the evil that is raining down on us. With Your power, we will stand strong against the Mark of the Beast. Keep is in Your Wings. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
